KENT—Kent Memorial Library will hold its next book discussion via Zoom Thursday, Oct. 10, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. to explore “The Vanishing Half” by Brit Bennett.
The discussion is part of the library’s fall book discussion series based on the theme family dysphoria.
The novels on the discussion list follow young characters who find themselves in acute disjunction with the life around them. Whether the source is color, nationality, gender or religion, these characters must find ways to deal with the overwhelmingly intense sense that they do not fit in.
The group is open to members of the public who register in advance. When registering, let the library know if it should get the books for you.
The discussion is conducted by Betty Krasne, PhD., writer, professor emerita, and longtime Kent resident.
