To the Editor:

Thank you Jared Kuczenski and Kent Park and Recreation volunteers and Darlene Brady of the Lions Club for decorating the lobby of the Town Hall. Thank you Kent Park and Recreation and Kent Memorial Library for the Trick or Treat goodies.

“Uncle Sam” wants to thank the Town of Kent for the warm welcome on Halloween. He saw many trick-or-treaters who enjoyed the evening’s goodies and registration application forms were also available. Several people were registered by the Register of Voters office Tuesday, which was our last day of regular registration prior to the Nov. 7 election.

If you are not registered yet, not to worry, Connecticut has same-day registration (Nov. 7, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.) in our second-floor office of the Town Hall. A special registration Nov. 6, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. will be held for newly eligible voters only.

We declare it a very successful Halloween!
