KENT—St. Andrew’s Church is deep into preparations for this year’s tag sale, which will be held Aug. 2 to 3. This year the tent for the tag sale goes up on Wednesday, July 31. At 3 p.m. that day, under the direction of Kathy Fricker, the POD and garage will be divested of their contents and chairs, tables, dressers and ottomans will be placed under the tent.

The Parish Hall has become the tag sale prep area. Banners will hang, tables and shelving will be set up to receive donations, and tables will be covered with cheerful yellow cloth to display housewares, linens, china and crystal.

Donations, both boxed household items and furniture, can be dropped off at the Parish Hall between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday through July 29. All donations should be clean and in working order. Bulky items may be picked up by appointment by calling 860-488-1635.

Items that will not be accepted are mattresses, bed frames (including headboards), upholstered furniture, armoires, hutches and television console stations.
