Roberta (Inge) Reed dies at age 76

KENT—Roberta J. (Inge) Reed, 76, of Kent, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2024.

Born in Rhode Island to Robert and Jeanette Inge, she was a graduate of Mater Christi High School in Astoria, NY, and St. John’s University in Queens, NY.

She settled in New Milford and had a successful banking career at New Milford Bank and Salisbury Bank and Trust, serving as a senior vice president at both institutions. She lived life to the fullest and her passions included reading and music, especially that of Bob Dylan.

She is survived by her son, John Masotti, daughter-in-law, Carly Williams-Masotti and her granddaughter, Evangeline Masotti.

Roberta loved dogs and throughout her life rescued many of them. She also worked with the Candlewood Animal Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the New Milford Animal Well Fare Society in New Milford in her name.

A funeral Mass was held Monday, Dec. 30, at St. Francis Church in New Milford. Lillis Funeral Home of New Milford was in charge of arrangements.
