KLT offers program on how to collect native seeds

KENT—The Kent Land Trust will present a program Saturday, Oct 12, at 9 a.m. on how to properly collect native seeds from the meadow at Avial Preserve. The preserve is located at 15 North Kent Road.

Heather Liljengren of LocalLand Consulting will instruct the group in how to properly collect native seeds. Seeds collected will be banked for future restoration projects.

Participants should wear long pants, sturdy shoes, and socks that can be tucked into their pants, or, alternatively, calf or knee-high boots. Long-sleeved shirt is recommended. Please bring water and a pencil. This activity is for ages 10 and older.
