House of Books book club to discuss “Lesser Ruins”

KENT—The House of Books Book Club will discuss “Lesser Ruins” by Mark Haber on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 6 p.m.

Haber, the author of “Reinhardt’s Garden” and “Saint Sebastian’s Abyss” has released his third novel, “a spiraling meditation on ambition, grief and humanity’s ecstatic, agonizing search for meaning through art.”

Born in Washington, D.C., he grew up in Florida. “Reinhardt’s Garden” (2019, Coffee House Press), was longlisted for the PEN/Hemingway Award. His second novel, “Saint Sebastian’s Abyss” (2022, Coffee House Press), was named a best book of 2022 by the New York Public Library, Literary Hub and Publishers Weekly. His fiction has appeared in Guernica, Southwest Review, and Air/Light, among others.

House of Books is located at 10 North Main St.
