KENT—The Kent Memorial Library will get in the mood for Halloween in the coming weeks with a screening of Beetlejuice for teens at 7 p.m. Friday in the Junior Room. There will be free popcorn courtesy of Kent Parks and Rec.

Children in grade 5 and older are welcome to attend. Registration is appreciated by calling 860-927-3761, emailing or registering online

Saturday the library will hold a costume swap at 11 a.m. and invites families to bring outgrown or unneeded costumes to exchange with others in the Junior Room.

With everyone ready with a costume, the library will host a Spooky Storytime at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, followed by a mini-masquerade costume party at 11:30. Children are invited to come dressed in their favorite costumes. All ages are welcome to participate.
