The Oppenheimer Legacy Discussion

March 9 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

UPDATE: The event will now be held at Kent Town Hall, 41 Kent Green Blvd.

On the eve of the Oscar’s consideration of Oppenheimer the movie, join neighbors at the Kent Memorial Library to discuss current nuclear challenges and future prospects along with CIA veteran John Lauder, a leading expert on intelligence and arms control monitoring. Lauder will discuss how we got to this point and is there an achievable way ahead? Read more about the event here.

Lauder is a founder of the James A. Garfield Center for Public Leadership at Hiram College and he’ll be joined by Sarah Chase, a fellow alum and Kent native. Lauder now serves as a Senior Fellow at the Wisconsin Project on Nuclear Arms Control and is an independent consultant on nonproliferation, arms control monitoring, and intelligence.
