Teen Take Back the Hike: Domestic Violence Awareness Hike at Skiff Mountain South Preserve

On Wednesday, February 26th at 9:00am at the Skiff Mountain South Preserve, come join the Kent Land Trust for their Teen Take Back the Hike. This is an inclusive hike for teens to raise awareness about domestic violence in the Northwest Corner. The hike is in association with Project SAGE and Marvelwood School.

The Skiff Mountain South Preserve trail is a moderately difficult hike and is the newest trail in Kent Land Trust network. It is just under 3 miles roundtrip.

Directions: KLT’s Skiff Mountain South is located on Skiff Mountain Road. Follow Skiff Mountain Road to the top of the hill just before the Marvelwood School soccer fields.

At just under 3 miles roundtrip, the Skiff Mountain South Trail is an easy-to-moderate hike with a view. Please wear sturdy footwear and layered clothing. Bring a water bottle and your sense of adventure!

Project SAGE (formerly named Women’s Support Services, Inc.), is a non-profit domestic violence agency serving Northwest Connecticut and the surrounding communities in New York and Massachusetts. The mission of Project SAGE is to create social change to end interpersonal, relationship violence by challenging attitudes and beliefs about power, control, and gender norms and by advocating for victims and survivors. They work with women, men, teens and children.
