Drop-Off for Food Bank

The Kent Food Bank is available to Kent residents who are in need of assistance to meet their daily nutritional needs. The Food Bank is made possible due to the support of the Kent Community Fund and the commitment of a dedicated team of volunteers. Donations can be dropped off on Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Food Bank site or by contacting Social Services and making an appointment.

Current needs for the Food Bank are:

Instant oatmeal (packets)

Fruit cups in fruit juice

Canned fruit

Coffee

Laundry detergent

Canned green beans

canned wax beans

Dish soap

Toilet paper

Sugar

Crackers

Cereal

Cookies

Donations can be made by purchasing items at Davis IGA and leaving them in the donation box at the exit. Items can also be left in the main lobby of the Town Hall.

The Food Bank can be visited at the lower level of the Kent Community House on Fridays 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Please contact the Department of Social Services at (860) 927-1586 for more information and to verify up-to-date hours.
