KENT—Deana (Morton) Clark, aged 52, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024, after a several-year battle with cancer. She died in the arms of her husband Christopher Clark at Danbury Regional Hospice.

Deana (Morton) Clark

She was born in Danbury Sept. 21, 1972, to Nancy Yamin and Elden Samuel Morton Jr. A beloved mother, daughter, wife, sister, grandma and friend, she had many jobs throughout her life including housekeeper and secretary, but one of her favorites was working in the cafeteria prepping and serving salad to the children of Kent Center School. Seeing the smiling students that greeted her every day brought her so much joy.

Undoubtedly the hardest and most rewarding job of all was being “Mom” to her four children: Matthew Morton, Jesse Marks, Myra Marks and Anthony Clark.

Deana had many hobbies. She loved to sing, cook, bake and to create. She had a room dedicated to her crafts where she designed and created anything from t-shirts to posters, signs of favorite Bible verses to greeting cards. She would gift these to her family and friends or anyone else who needed a pick-me-up.

Deana loved her family so much and showed it. She went all out for holidays and birthday celebrations. Thanksgiving and Christmas were huge in her household, with decorations and presents from floor to ceiling and delicious foods. On birthdays she would bake custom birthday cakes. She knew how to make someone feel special.

Kind, generous, funny, holy. These are just some of the many traits that made Deana a true blessing to this world.

Deana is survived by her husband, children, mother, siblings, JT and Harley, and grandchildren, Roxanne and Samantha.

Family and friends are invited to the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Street, New Milford for visitation on Monday, Nov. 25, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. A service of remembrance will be held at 6:30 p.m.
