NEW MILFORD—Antje Duvekot returns to Merryall Center, 8 Chapel Hill Rd., Saturday, Aug. 10, at 7:30 p.m.

Born in Germany and transplanted to the U.S. as a young teen, Duvekot began to hone her observational skills through a lens of biculturalism when she picked up a guitar during that move. Duvekot has extensive touring experience, having crisscrossed the U.S. and Europe many times. She’s been invited to play some of the top festivals including The Newport Folk Festival as well as the Mountain Stage, Philadelphia and Kerrville Festivals.

Duvekot has solidified her reputation as one of Boston’s top singer songwriters with the September 2023 release of her fifth studio album, “New Wild West.”

She will be joined by long-time friend and fellow singer-songwriter, Bruce T. Carroll. Carroll has established himself as an Americana artist with a social conscience and a deft lyrical touch. His signature songs “When Two Worlds Collide,” “Fox in the Henhouse,” and “Lift Your Head Up” continue to get good airplay worldwide, spotlighting the refugee crisis and political upheaval at home and abroad.
